This is the XRAY T4 2015 1/10 Competition Electric Touring Car Kit. XRAY is a driving force in the 1/10 electric touring car racing scene. Continuous development and evolution of the XRAY product line has led to ever-increasing performance, with countless wins in multiple classes at the local, regional, national and international levels. XRAY has become the standard by which all touring cars are measured. The craftsmanship, durability, and performance of XRAY kits have become legendary. This commitment to excellence has continued with the release of the XRAY T4'15, the next legend.


  • ARS System: The kit includes both standard and Active Rear Suspension (ARS™) suspension components. ARS suspension consists of: redesigned arms, graphite 0° C-hubs for optimal flex characteristics, hard steering blocks, ARS post (mounted to the chassis) and ARS linkage which connects the post with the steering block. The angle of ARS linkage changes the toe-in characteristics of the rear tires when rolling; when the car is pressed the toe-in can either increase or decrease.
  • Chassis: The T4’15 features a narrower chassis design for different track conditions. The chassis is 86mm wide (3mm narrower compared to the T4’14) for improved traction and steering characteristics. The 2.2mm thick chassis is CNC-machined from premium-grade graphite material, with pre-drilled holes for optional parts such as chassis weights, graphite motor guard, graphite adjustable battery holder, and battery strap. Weight distribution and balance characteristics have been optimized, allowing the weight to be moved as close as possible to the chassis centerline in order to maintain proper balance. 
  • Motor Mount: The redesigned motor mount is a part of the left layshaft bulkhead to eliminate unwanted tweak. The system consists of a plate which is connected with the motor mount by a button-head screw which is more tweak-free compared to a countersunk screw. The motor mount plate is connected to the chassis via M3 nut and an extra countersunk screw can be placed in front of the nut if more reinforcement is needed. The layshaft part of the motor mount bulkhead allows the removal of front or rear (or both) screws which connect the top deck, as the bearing is fixed to the layshaft bulkhead and does not move. This improves the flex adjustability of the car to better suit different track conditions.
  • Aluminum Bulkheads: To accommodate the redesigned anti-roll bar mounting system, the bulkheads were redesigned and now feature a special anti-roll bar mounting area where the anti-roll bar mounting collars are installed. The T4'15 features the smallest and lightest bulkheads ever, which are positioned more towards the chassis centerline to provide maximum traction, steering, and balance. All bulkhead parts have been designed to provide the lightest and strongest possible support framework for the car.
  • Central Servo Mount: XRAY’s self-developed central servo mount is now standard in the T4'15. This mount allows the servo to be mounted to the chassis without the servo coming into contact with the chassis plate to eliminate tweak and increase overall traction. The servo mount is mounted to the chassis by 3 screws (instead of 2) for better durability and to help eliminate the possibility of the servo moving with the servo mount in hard crashes. The main aluminum stand is positioned along the chassis centerline for perfectly balanced flex characteristics, and it holds the high-grade graphite servo plate suspended above the chassis. The servo mount includes an extra hole where the battery backstop screw can be mounted, also allowing adjustment for battery width.
  • Upper Clamps: To complement the super-narrow bulkheads, the upper bulkhead clamps were also redesigned and an optimized roll center position was added. An extra-short position was added to improve steering in the front and traction in the rear. With 4 different roll center mounting positions, adjusting the roll center of the chassis is quick and easy.
  • Anti-roll Bar System: The redesigned anti-roll bar system is mounted to the front & rear bulkheads via bearings from outside for extra-smooth movement and for quick & easy changes and adjustment. The roll bar turns in ball-bearings for maximum precision and free movement. Anti-roll bar height is easily adjustable via a screw. The anti-roll bars were redesigned to work with the redesigned bulkheads and ball-bearing roll bar mounting system. Front 1.4mm and rear 1.3mm anti-roll bars are included in the kit, and a full line of optional anti-roll bars for super-fine tuning are available. Anti-roll bars have laser-engraved stripes (corresponding to bar thickness) for easy identification.
  • Bumper Upper Holder: Redesigned composite bumper upper holder brace helps to reduce chassis breakage in serious crashes. The composite bumper upper holder brace is mounted on the top composite upper holder for the bumper. The brace copies the shape of the layshaft bulkhead so if a crash occurs, the brace touches the bulkhead and protects the front of the chassis from breakage.
  • Adjustable Steering: Smart chassis flex adjustment via optional graphite steering plate which can be mounted with an additional aluminum stand. Using only the graphite steering plate, chassis flex is medium; using the aluminum stand for reinforcement, the flex becomes stiffer. Stiffer flex results in more aggressive handling and increased steering.
  • XRAY Solid Axle: The T4 features a unique lightweight composite XRAY Front Solid Axle to reduce rotating mass. The Front Solid Axle has a very stiff and ultra-light weight structure that was achieved by molding the entire solid axle from XRAY’s own self-formulated composite material. The outdrives are fully exchangeable which allows quick & easy servicing, while the unique drive shaft connection — eliminating the drive shaft blades — enables direct power transfer to the axle and eliminates play between the drive shaft and outdrives, improving steering precision and increasing overall steering.
